Your first step is to get in contact with me!
We’ll schedule your first consultation where you can tell me what you had in mind, why you want to share your story and what you want to achieve.
I’ll also send you a questionnaire to gather more information about your life and project. We can do this when we chat if you’re too busy or feeling overwhelmed.

We’ll then set up a series of interviews that help me to discuss your life story in more detail.
You can do these face-to-face (if you are lucky enough to be in the Azores), by phone or online, depending on how you feel most comfortable. I can also be flexible with the dates and times of these interviews so please choose something that fits with you and your schedule.
During these key interviews, I’ll gently ask some questions to uncover the gems hidden in your story and share your message more effectively. I’m kind, understanding and caring and will listen with empathy to whatever you want to share, even if it’s difficult, emotional or traumatic.
At the same time, I’ll be doing background research, gathering relevant materials and crafting your story, step by step. If you have any photographs or other materials you think will be useful, please send them my way!

After we’ve chatted about your story in a series of eye-opening interviews, I’ll get to work crafting your unique memoir based on everything you’ve shared with me.
I’ll then weave a compelling narrative that uses professional storytelling techniques to tell your story in a powerful and compelling way and make readers feel they are right there with you.
I’ll also make sure I have the photos, documents, letters, awards, recipes and any other materials you want to include in your book.

Next, you’ll receive a digital version of your manuscript for you to read through and share your feedback. If you’d like to make any changes, you can let me know at this stage.
Your memoir will also be professionally reviewed, proofread and corrected to make sure it’s 100% perfect before being formatted, typeset and designed to professional publishing standards.
A professional graphic designer will also blend your manuscript with your chosen photographs, documents or other records to bring your book to life.

Once you are satisfied, our partner book printers will create your beautiful hardback and/or paperback memoir and send it right to your door, ready to share with family and friends.

Hi! I’m Charlotte, I’m a British freelance memoir/biography ghostwriter living on the beautiful island of Faial in the Azores.
This gorgeous subtropical island allows me to live my most creative life, soaking up inspiration, unearthing unique stories and crafting them into raw, honest accounts of the day-to-day lives of real people all across the world.

My Journey to Becoming A Memoir Writer
I’ve loved reading, writing and storytelling for as long as I can remember. Just ask my preschool teachers! Yes, I was one of those children who was always reading and writing stories, essays and letters on every topic you could possibly imagine.
This love of storytelling and language lead me to win several competitions, complete a linguistics degree (language science) and then move into business writing.
Soon I was living a dream, spending my days writing, helping businesses and entrepreneurs share their stories and vision by crafting their ‘about me’ pages, websites, books, newsletters, press releases and other promotional materials.
After working as a business writer for almost two decades, increasing numbers of successful business owners, world adventurers and so-called ‘average’ people asked me if I could become their memoir writer and help them record those incredible experiences they’d had.
This was a dream come true for me. At last, I had found my calling!
I could combine my life-long passion for non-fiction writing and storytelling skills, my talent for putting people at ease, and my counselling skills to help others share their stories with the world, even if they believed that they had nothing special to share.
And as they say, the rest is history. My only regret is that I didn’t do this sooner…
